Laguna Powerjet 2400
Is ok to use the Laguna Powerjet 2400 as a return pump? I want it to run a 180 tank, Reactors, and 2 tanks.

I use the ATB 1500 flowstar which is just a laguna powerjet 1500 pump on a 90 gallon and it is teed 3 ways, into a two reactors (phosban, biopellet reactors, and to a refugium). The 1500 pump alone is so strong that I release alot of the pressure into the fuge. The 2400 pump you are using on the 180 gallon should be more than suffient for what you are doing. The only concern that you might have is that if you are trying to tee them into your other two tanks (the distance of the pump from the two tanks might be a factor as well as the size of the tanks) might end up losing head pressure.

ATB uses the Max-Flo, not the PowerJet. Not really sure where or if they differ. Looks like the Powerjet just includes the fountain and that's why it costs a tad more.

Now I thinking about going with the Max-Flo 2900. I think its a better fit. The 2900 flow at 12ft is 1,347gph vs 132gph the 2400 gets.
