Replacing hot led drivers
I am one of the masses that bought a green element evo quad reef led light from aquatraders without researching the fire hazards associated with odysea products. Now I know, and I am concerned with how hot the external drivers/transformers get. The light itself gets pretty warm, but is a metal housing, and I plan to add cooling fans to it. The drivers are plastic, there are 2, each controlling 32 lights. The switch for each allows all on or just blues, of which there are a 8 per driver. Over all it's got 48 white and 16 blue, each 3w, split evenly between the 2 drivers. In fact, one driver lights the front of the unit and one does the back. I am handy but avoided full DIY because of the time. I am wondering if anyone knows if I can just buy better drivers as replacements. Also, is heat normally an issue for led drivers? Thanks in advance!
