Ati T5 Bulbs
My first T5 fixture always been a MH and LED person I accquired a used tank and it has a T5 fixture. The tank is a preditor fish only. I would like to replace the stock bulbs with ATI's if this was a a metal halide fixture I would go with a 14k bulb, but to be honest all of the ATI I looked at list them as coral plus , blue plus, ect, ect... Can anyone let me what bulbs I need to order for 3 54w T5's to achive this look?
Thanks in advance Mark |

The ATI bulbs are all full spectrum, but with varying shades of blue/purple mixed in. The Coral Plus are rated at 15000 Kelvin. I have 2 in my 2-bulb fixture for my softy tank and it looks great IMHO- the perfect mix of blue and white with a hint of purple.. For a slightly whiter appearance, you can mix in 1 Blue Plus. For more purple, go with a Purple Plus.
Here's a pic for reference... The rocks are white btw, so the color is from the bulbs. Last edited by Mr. Bill; 07/29/2012 at 04:30 PM. |
