LIVE rock to Base Rock
I picked up some Live rock from an established tank but have been storing it in buckets (without water) for over a month. I then pressure washed the rock to get rid of any bad/nuisance pest(s).
It is now baking outside in the sun. Do you think this is sufficient enough or should I still do more to kill off any unwanted hitchhikers. Looking forward to everyones thoughts and feedback. james |

Were there issues with the tank you got it from? Any live pests will be dead by now, but if the tank had major phosphate or nitrate issues there are likely still present in the rock.

thanks for the reply, thats what Im not sure of hence why Im skeptical of putting the rock in the tank without being certain.
anything I can do if the phosphates or nitrates were high? |
