I got bryopsis - adding new fish?

tank is fully cycled after a few weeks. i have had the CUC in there for over a week so far. Noticed green algae in the tank a week ago. at first thought it was all green hair algae, but then it started to grow and become fern-like. looked it up and its bryopis. i also have hair algae too but not too worried about that.

did a bunch of research and ordered some Kent Tech M to do the elevated magnesium treatment. That will come in later this week. I am scheduled to pick up my fish this weekend, and wondering if i should add them while doing the magnesium treatment or hold off?

Tank is a JBJ 28 with 35 lbs LR, 25 lbs LS, with a snail only CUC from reefcleaners. Bryopisis is not too bad yet.

Ammonia and Nitrite are at 0. Nitrates at 5-10ppm, but doing a 50% water change tonight, and maybe another before i add the fish.

my purchase of fish this weekend includes:

3 scarlet hermits
2 black/white percula clowns
1 yellow watchman goby
1 candy stripe pistol shrimp
1 cleaner shrimp
1 turbo snail

the plan is to put everything in the tank except for the two clowns, which are going to QT.

I hate to tell you this but when you stop dosing Tech M the vile weed will return. There is a thread in the Chemistry forum and most of the people that had results with Tech M saw the return of the weed after they stopped dosing. I lost the battle also and the only thing that I have found works 100% is to pull out your live rock and bleach and acid dip it. There is also a thread in the Chemisty forum on this also. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Some of the folks in the TechM folks did ok after bringing the level down... it "reads" to be a minority, but its not impossible...
Why QT only some of your fish... just so they can get ich later from the goby? (snarky, I know)

Two weeks ago I pulled all my rock and sand out of the DT because of this pain in the. I am now only going to ever use dry rock in the DT.

read a bunch of items. going to try the peroxide treatment as well it looks like to try and make a good dent in them up front.

question - does peroxide nuke all the beneficial bacteria on the rocks?? i figure it would, so maybe i will do the spot treatment on the bryopsis. i am hoping a combination of water changes, spot treatment with peroxide, and high magnesium will wipe this thing out.
