Anemone - spitting mucus?!

I have a purple tipped white anemone. Recently I was trying to move my Tiger Cowrie because he was very close to the anemone and sort of brushed my anemone.

He immediately spit a clear/white mucus into my tank. I tried fishing it out with my net and a toothbrush, but some of it is still stuck to my filter and my live rock.

It literally looks like clear snot.... what is this? Is it bad for my fish? Easiest way to remove?
