DD fish are quaranteened. They recommend a separate QT, however, when you take possession of their fish.

While I haven't ordered from them (never buy anything on line really), I have had some friends order from them....nothing but great results. The fish arrived healthy and looked great. They weren't cheap, but the health of the fish made it worth the money. The last one I saw was a beautiful blonde naso that was being hand fed in a matter of days.

We (Drs. Foster & Smith's LiveAquaria.com - I work for them) ALWAYS recommend QT, no matter where you purchase your fish - from us, from a friend, from a LFS... anywhere. Always, always, always QT.

That said, here is a great blog post from Kevin Kohen about WHY you should quarantine - even Diver's Den fishes: http://www.dfs-pet-blog.com/2009/08/...se-prevention/

And here is video of our Diver's Den facility Rhinelander you may appreciate: http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/g...al_pagesid=377

Last, here is an article describing how we quarantine fish in the Diver's Den before we offer them for sale: http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/g...al_pagesid=425

I have bought from DD and have still quarantined my fish that I have gotten from there. They didn't showed any signs of disease and never got ich. I quarantined them since I wanted to make sure that they would eat for me before going in the display. QT is always a good idea. It helps the fish get used to captive life and is an insurance in case a disease were to show up. The DD fish were the healthiest fish I have ever bought. They are still alive and well today. I will only buy fish from DD since the majority my lfs's take the "natural approach" and not treat for disease even when one shows up.

Never purchased anything from DD (yet) but a few people from my reef club have, and I've only heard great things... Aquacon on the other hand...

I've ordered plenty of specimens from Diver's Den, though mostly inverts and corals, and I've never had a bad experience. I once had a shrimp arrive dead, but it was the middle of winter and the delivery guy came late in the day. All I did was call customer service and they gave me a credit towards my next purchase (they would have sent out a replacement if I had preferred that). Diver's Den is just a subsection on the liveaquaria site where you are buying exactly what you see in the picture. On the rest of the site, you are buying a specimen that is LIKE the image, but not THAT EXACT SPECIMEN. Personally, I prefer the Diver's Den section because I like to know exactly what I'm getting.
