Which Skimmer?
Should I get a Reef Octopus 4 Or the AquaMaxx ecomaxx em 100 in sump protein skimmer?
I will have a 65 gal tall with a 29 gal sump. Please let me know which one you think is best and why. I'd also like to know if anyone has compared the ecotech radion led light vs the AI Sol led.... I'm thinking of getting two Sols vs one Radion. Thanks |

Welcome to Reef Central! Forced to choose between the two, I'd choose the AquaMaxx, as it appears to be made a little better. You might want to get one rated for a bigger tank- and frankly, they all break some piece or other over the years, so I'd get a reef octopus rated for a bigger tank and take advantage of what likely will be cheap replacement parts.

I love reef octopus skimmers, I've used this awesome brandd for all my reef tanks and as well as a lot of my friends and family who have tanks use reef octopus, I would stick with that brand

Currently use the 4" Reef Octopus and like it a lot, very easy to assemble and runs well.
BTW To Reef Central
