Jumpin' Fish!
I got home after being out for 30 minutes to find my firefish on the floor. I quickly rinsed him in some RODI to get any dirt off and plopped him back in the tank. An hour later and he looks like his normal self happy as can be.
I have a rimless aquarium that came with a glass top (very sleek and keeps a very good "rimless" look still) but It was broken when the tank was delivered. I contacted JBJ when I got the tank and a replacement is on the way. Has anyone had repeat escapers, or do fish kind of learn their lesson? Just wondering if I should be worried about this happening again before the top comes in. P.S. I had him in a 5g nano for about 6 months before getting my new 30g and he never jumped once. |

It is sure to happen again. Fire fish are natural jumpers in the wild, so he won't necessarly learn his lesson. It's just their natural instinct.
