Ecotech Marine battery backup question

Does the backup get hot over normal use? I'm currently keeping it in a side cabinet, which is essentially a 12x12x30in high box that keeps all my electrical equipment away from the moisture of the sump.

The cabinet isn't vented well (there are two holes) but will that negatively affect the backup unit?

yes the battery backup does get hot over time and i have it inside my cabinet with my chiller and both generate some heat but i cut a hole in the back. its been this way for quite some time without any issues.
