Durso and reverse durso for MAJOR micro bubble problem...any insight?
I am having a huge microbubble problem. Im running an overflow, into a 40 gallon sump. It has bubble traps.
I have a ball valve to throttle water on my feed, and my return pipes. Im noticing, the more water in the back of my overflow...no bubbles. I think this vortex that occurs when the water is a bit lower is causing my problem. Ive been policing it...and when the gurgling occurs...bubbles occur. But more water, no vortex, no bubbles. This problem occured over night, and now i have put filter floss in my overflow, shoved a big piece in one of my baffles on my bubble trap, and a filter sock on my down pipe. Im not a fan of any of these methods. Im deathly afraid of all that filter floss clogging and flooding my house. But this is what i had handy this evening. Eliminating possibilities. Has anyone used a durso stand pipe on their overflow and or a reverse durso on their pipe heading down to the sump. And is it just me or these sumps a pain in the rear to get timed right with water flow. Good LORD!!! |

If this is a new setup you need to give it 3 or for days to break-in. After that it should be highly reduced.
