I have worms! Pics Inside>
OK , so i recently did away with mi Bio balls and started using a filter sock. I removed the filter sock for cleaning after 4 days of use , when i removed it i found about 5-6 worms. One was redish and smaller ones where tan to clear. Can anyone tell me if these worms will cause problems to my tank or how to get rid of them? I have some Zoas and a few clowns with a yellow tang. My tank is a 92 gallon corner tank. Please let me know if you need any more information, Thanks. Heres some pictures

The one worm looks like a fire worm which is beneficial to your tank. Hard to tell by the photos, but the others look like amphipods which are also beneficial. I usually go through my filter socks after I pull them out and put all these critters back in my sump. Tank looks good, keep up the good work.

Yeah they are red... Just the light (camera) washed them out some...
Can you take a closer picture of one... Just to make sure it is not the dreaded FIREWORM... Granted they are not as popular as these "Bristle" worms

I got rid of them after cleaning the filter sock. I will remove the new filter sock in about 3 days. If I see another one I will take closer pictures of it. If its a fireworm how can I get rid of them?

Don't grab any worm with your bare hand. Use a glove or gently pic them out of the sock with a pair of tweezers (your wife's or GF's pair will work just fine ) and put them back in your tank/sump/fuge.
IME, baby bristle worms have red in them (red bands) and that is what appears to be in your pics. Google pics of fire worms and bristle worms so you can tell the difference before your next sock change out.

Either fire or bristle.. do not touch.. Those little 'arms' are filaments that will IRRITATE your skin like fiberglass and to some people worse.
Tweezers work... they are quick though... There are some commercial treatments (that some do not like to use) A spider crab can pick them out. But they also work away at the copepods. Most say by hand... Just look in the cracks and tweezer them out. I know some other people will kick in with some ideas here too.
