Protein skimmer

I just set up my 75 gallon reef aquarium and purchased the the proflex model three and put the mag 5 return pump in the return chamber. I was looking and the Octopus NWB-150 skimmer but I dont think it willl fit in the chamber with the pump. What skimmer would I be able to fit in the chamber without any modifications?

Something to consider is where you're going to install the sump. If it's under the tank in the cabinet, you may be limited to the amount of head space you have. You'll have to consider the optimal operating depth of the skimmer. For instance, a Reef Octopus SRO XP1000SSS would be a good choice to suit your system, but it has an optimal sump depth of 5.5", so if you have a sump depth of 9" you would have to build a small platform for the skimmer to sit on, which wouldn't be a problem, as long as you have enough room to accommodate both the 4" platform, the 20.5" height of the skimmer, and still have enough room overhead to remove the cup for cleaning. If this doesn't fit, you would have to look for a simmer that has a deeper optimal depth. The Bubble Magnus NAC-7 might be a possibility here, since it recommends a 9" optimal sump depth, but you might want to check the overall footprint against the size of the chamber its going into.
