How many livestock to introduce to 90gal quarantine tank at once?

I am going to pick up some live stock this weekend, just curious how many fish or inverts may I introduce into the QT tank?

Here's what I plan on buying. I do not want to cause a re-cycle.
  • 2- false clown fish
  • 3 - skunk cleaner shrimp
  • 4 - peppermint shrimp
  • 2 - blood red shrimp
  • 1 sailfin algae blenny
  • 1 - yellow watchman goby

What are you using for filtration on the QT tank? The water volume is enough for a few fish, but how you filter it will make a big difference.

I was going to use a filter foam that is big enough for 125 gals, this is attached to a maxijet powerhead.

I also have a 40 gal breeder sump tank that I could throw media filter from display tank and run it that way if that provides better filtration.

The inverts dont cause a bioload on a tank, so any of those will be fine.

How big is your QT?

90 gal is my QT size. I was thinking of just putting the inverts and dipping any corals into the Display tank and only quarantine fishes.

HOw many more can I put in the QT tank? if the tank is 90gal?

Display tank is 175 or 180 gal bowfront. I cant rememebr which one.

how much more can I add to the 90 gal? Also, can you comment on the filtration? Which you think would be suitable? Am I good with that just maxijet and filter sponge option? or must I set up the sump tank?

How many more depends on how well the filtration is doing and what medications you end up having to add. If you're treating ich with copper, biological filtration will be wiped out and you'll be stuck controlling pollution through water changes. The frequency of your water changes will determine whether or not you've got room for more fish. It's one of those things where you'll just have to keep a close eye on water parameters (especially ammonia) and decide as you go if there's room for more.
