Aquascapring help/suggestions
Ok, so when i ordered my Rock online, i got the weight i ordered, just not quite the pieces i had in my head lol. What i received was to giant pieces weighing in at just a tad over 20lbs a piece. i hate to break them up so i chiseled a couple holes for hideaways in em and set em in the tank, I just cant come up with something i like I have maybe a dozen or so smaller pieces to use as well.
I will attach a couple of pictures with just the 2 large rocks then a pic of how i have it set for now, Any suggestions would be appreciated. 2 large rocks As it is for now. |

If you could somehow break those two larger pieces in half, you would have a lot more options.

I scoffed at the idea of the ubiquitous "Two outcroppings" aquascapes everyone seems to love...
but it is flat out the most efficient /aestetically pleasing way to arrange more corals in such a way that more pieces can get more light/space.... PS. make sure you leave some space in back and point some flow BEHIND the rock....IMO this isn't emphasized enough

Where did you order your rock? If you do a youtube search there was a very interesting video on how to chisel and cut dry base rock in order to achieve certain looks.

I like how you have them placed in the first pic. It seems like all they need is another big piece of rock sitting on top of the first two to make an arch for fish to swim through. As for the smaller pieces, I usually keep a bunch of those hidden in the back of the tank until they're needed for mounting corals. They may not fit your aquascape plans well, but they still help with filtration!
