aquascaping

Got my live rock yesterday and have my tank cyling and working on aquascaping it. The hard part is doing it while trying not to kick up the sand and cloud my tank up. I'm trying to create lots of openings for maximum water flow and hiding spaces for fish. Any pointers for a first time aquascaper? I have a tall tank so Im trying to go for a taller rock scape.

Make sure the rocks rest on the bottom glass and not on the sand. Otherwise you put yourself at risk for a catastrophic rockslide if you have any burrowers in your tank. Also make sure you leave enough room around the perimeter of the rock to clean the glass.

Many people secure their aquascape with acrylic rods, zip ties, or epoxy.

Good luck! Post some photos when you get a chance.
