Cloudy water help
I upgraded my old sytem to a sump/refugium. Before i had crustal clear water . It looked as the fish were floating . Now its hazy and cloudy w little particles. Could it be because it needs to break in more? Its about 3 weeks old. Or is it too much flow? 2 power heads w the 950 gph return. I just re aimed all of them towrds the surface more but doesnt seem to help too much. I have filtersocks and i dont believe its microbubbles. It looks like dust floating around. Its drivig me nits because of how my tank was before. Please help w any tips to crystal clear water

the added flow is suspending particulate in your tank. before it just settled out. trick is to get the flow right so it moves this to the overflow and sump filtration.

Wish I could help. I have had this problem for a couple of months. I'll be tagging along on this. I'm trying the mb7 and vodka approach. I'll let you know how it goes. If that does not wok I'm going to try a uv sterilizer.
