Bubble algae question?
Hi Guys, I have a couple pieces of bubble algae on the bottom of my tank on the side of a rock. I was wondering if I covered over them with coral putty, would that be fine and contain them. I know its a quick fix and I have to get to the route of the problem. I am just afraid of popping one and spreading the spores throughout my tank. I know emerald crabs eat them, I am just afraid that they would spread the spores by popping them wile eating them?
Thank you for your help |

Yes you can, but if you see one or two that means there might be more you just cant see.

Emeralds do a great job at clearing them up. I've had a pair of them for years. I've bought coral with it on it and a day or three later it's nowhere to be found. But I've also heard they all don't eat it.
Be careful covering it. It's pretty delicate and feels like they are under pressure so a little too hard and it will pop.
