Dosing Pumps

I'm going to be going on a month long vacation to Australia in December and I'll be leaving my reef pretty much alone for the entire time.

Obviously I don't want it to crash so I wont ask my mother or brother to take care of it :P

Taking one step at a time in the path to an automated system, and the time has come to automate my 2 part dosing. I currently use TLF's C-Balance.

As for my questions:

Is there a thread that someone can hopefully direct me to that tackles this subject?
What doser's are there on the market?
What doser's have you, personally had experience with, and recommend, and why?

I only use 13mL of each part daily to keep my Ca/Alk level's consistant.

I appreciate all the information and advice

Regards, Walid.

I use a Bubble Magus that has three dosing pumps and timers built in. I like the ability to have a stand alone unit that can handle dosing and it has worked well for me for over a year now. The timers can be setup to spread your total dosing such that it does it once every hour. You can also program it to dose Alk, Ca, and Mg at different times.

I thought about using individual dosing pumps with my Apex so that I could, for example, dose Alk at night to balance pH drops but stuck with the simplicity of an all-in-one stand alone unit.

There are some other stand alone dosers on ebay that are about half the price of the Bubble Magus that have some good user reviews here but I do not have any personal experience with them.

Thanks for the input MBSL55.

Anyone else?

Bubble magus doser, user friendly and proven.

It's so easy to set up and pretty much maintenance free.

You choose which dosing pump
1-3

Then choose total amount you want to dose in a day.

Then choose how many times and it will accurately split it up.

It's great.
