10 gallon wall mount - 1 month new!

Hi All - I am new to the saltwater hobby and wish to receive a few suggestions regarding my new 1 month set-up. I have a 10 gallon wall mounted tank with 10lbs of live rock, 20lbs fiji live sand, 1 clown, 9 blue legged hermits and 3 bumble bee snails. My tank has been cycled (this has been confirmed many times by our LFS). I also check my parameters daily and have had 2 people come out to test our set up and both have confirmed that water looks great and we are on the right track. I have been battling ich (temps at 82-84+ w/ich attack) with my clown for the past 1 1/2 weeks and have seen great progress. However, the ich does seem to linger.....but my clown appears and behaves healthly. He eats like crazy and is no longer hiding or lying on the sand.

I have attached photos for comments on our live rock placement or any other suggestions. Our clown does not swim around that actively and usually stays in a few spots and hovers (until feeding time). I know that clowns are unsual fish and can be quirky, but would like opinions if my live rock placement is not ideal for fish to swim around. Again, he does appear healthy and eats like crazy. I plan to get another clown in a week or so or two once the ich signs have passed.

Thoughts?

Please go to the Disease Forum and read all about Ich. The white specs are just one phase in the life of this parasite and your fish still has it, even though the symptoms are not obvious. This cannot be treated in your tank because the medications (copper) kill the bacterial growth you've developed as part of the cycling process. Your fish will have to be treated in a different tank and your primary tank will have to be fallow (fishless) for 72 days. This is because you can't get rid of Ich if there is one fish there to provide it with a host. There are other treatments than copper such as tank transfer or reducing the salinity so low that the parasite doesn't survive. They have to be done exactly right and your reading will explain all this.

Next, go to the "New to the Hobby" forum and read the permanent threads (stickies) at the top of that forum to read about setting up a new tank. We can't answer questions as general as yours, so if you do some research your questions will become more specific. Welcome to Reef Central. We'll help you as best we can.
