leather coral
I just bought a neon green leather finger coral and immediately after I put it in my tank is started to shed this white slimy strands. Will this harm my other corals?

No, it happens to corals from stress of move and new tank. I have a cleaner shrimp that LOVES to eat that stuff. I put my torch in and he ripped a few holes in him trying to get that stuff off of it.
It goes away.

leather coral
What a relief! Thanks very much! It has stopped now but I was worried about effect it would have on other corals.
