Trouble Creating Turbulent Flow

Ok, so I may have originally posted this in the wrong place, that's probably why I'm not getting too many answers back. Here is the original thread:

http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2227606

My original question was how should I aim my powerheads to get the most efficient flow in my tank? I have been playing around with them for a while and just can't seem to get them right. This morning I moved the 550 more to the front and kept it aimed at the opposite corner about half way down; and the 750 is still aimed at the return. The return is slightly below the surface aimed at the same corner as the 550. I am planning on building a spraybar today to replace the return nozzle. Ideas?

Ive allways utilized sray nozzles on my tanks X2 on a wave maker and power heads X2 on a separate wave maker. Return nozzles on back corners spraying catacorner and powerheads on side at front and high pointing towards opposite front corner at bottom. The randomness of the dual wavemaker creates lots of turbulance in various places at various times to varying amounts of degree. Hope that helps a little.

I don't think I really have the space for all that or the money on top of that! lol, I did however just build a spraybar to replace the stock fluval output nozzle, but I have to wait for the glue to cure before I can use it, I'll let you know in the 48 hrs. that it takes

are you wanting surface agitation or just a strong current?

Well, I'm trying to get my tank set for corals later, mainly soft. I'm going to use the spray bar for mainly surface agitation, so that should free up my powerheads for everything in the tank. I'm pretty sure that I don't need anymore powerheads with the amount of current i'm pushing in the tank, but I am still a noob afterall.
