I think the biggest issue youll find is that you cannot just swap out the fan. In my experience the fixtures have AC fans that are loud and inefficient (look at the blade). DC fans from coolerguys or frozencpu are what you are looking for but youll need to supply a ac/dc converter. You can probably find a 12v ac/dc convrter around the house.

are you looking for internal or external fans? if internal i use Cooltron fans, they are great because they they run on 110v

I'm not sure what type of fans you are looking for because there are so many. But, my AquaticLife T5 HO fixture was running 2 really loud regular old computer fans.
I swapped them out with 2 of these SilenX fans that push 36cfm @ 12dB and you can't even hear them. |

wanting to mount inside canopy between it and light fixture to force air in fxture. have 2 holes cut out for air draw. would rather go 110 if possible. fixture has 2 icecap fans on other end. want extra cooling for fixture. and maybe swap out super loud icecaps one day also. thinking maybe if more air was drawn in icecaps wouldn`t be so loud. or am i just wishful thinking. thanks guys for the ideas & links

Vantech stealth fans
28 decibels. I swapped my 120mm(4in) in my old MH/ t5 fixture and they worked great.
