Talking Island boy 100gal build- (hand-picked corals and live rocks)

Hi Guys!

I live in a beautiful island surrounded by tropical marine life.
I have a 100 gallon tank which I converted from a Arowana tank to a Salt water tank w/ canister filter , and now a re-constructed 100gal Reef tank w/ sump filter with the right requirement this time. The challenge is the availability of equipment and materials here, so I order all my stuff from online. Dr. Foster and Smith is really good in shipping what I need way out here.

I've had so many learnings and mistakes and still learning.
My tank is composed of SPS Corals , LSP Corals , clams , and Live Rocks which I've hand-picked from snorkeling within the reef.

Where I stay we have a lot of SPS corals but a certain selection only. I'm still looking for a good spots to find some good corals.

I have the following equipment in my tank:
  • 100gal Sea Clear acrylic tank
  • 29gal sump w/ live rocks and sand
  • 2 150W Metal Halide with 14k Phoenix bulbs
  • MP40w Vortex wave maker
  • JBJ 1/10 Chiller
  • Rio 3100/2100 return pump
  • 25W Aqua UV Sterilizer
  • 75gal Hanging skimmer (to be replaced with RO XP 1000sss)
  • Phosban reactor w/ NPX bio pellets
  • Phosban reactor w/ phosban media

Below are some pictures of my build. Hope you guys like. Please leave any comment or suggestions. And negative comments. Keep to yourself please

Talking about bringing a whole new aspect to the hobby. That would be super cool to go find your own stuff!
