green Chromi jumped

This morning I noticed a chromis was missing, I looked all over but didn't find it. I found it on the floor. It must have jumped sometime during the night. Is this normal behavior normal ?

All fish have a chance to jump. Unless you have some sort of cover over the tank it just a matter of time before more go carpet surfing. Just my 2 cents

Very common especially when they get spooked. Be glad it was a chromis and nothing more expensive.

From experience I learned that this can happen with almost any fish.

I would make a screen cover with the Bulk Reef Supply 1/4" netting. You can get a screen kit from any hardware store and it takes less than an hour to throw it together.

I once had a midas blenny launch itself across the room, a good seven feet away from the tank, right in front of me. That's when I started covering everything.

My first jumper was a chromi all so. My clown twice a jumper.
First time, sitting front of tank, splash! Clown jumps out, hits my lap and on to floor. Still i did not get netting.
About 2 month later get home from work, no clown in tank. Looked around found him between stand and base board. You could not see any of its color, complety covered with dust and carpet lint.
Pick him up, no movement at all, about 10 seconds later he faintly moves. Cleaned him up, he pulled through.
Next morning got items needed to diy screen cover
