Setting up RODI

Can anyone reply with some pics of their plumbing and tank setup so I have a better idea what to do?

Check out the Bulk Reef Supply website. They have several videos worth your time to view.

There are SOOOO many different ways to plumb an RO/topoff setup. Mine runs to a float in a 55g drum to hold the water and the tub runs to another float in the sump so it drips the water in using gravity (no pumps). I turn the RO on and off every few days to refill the top of the drum.

Pictures won't do you much good until you figure out how you want to to top-offs.

Current Tank Info: Current system is 8x2x2 240g peninsula setup with a single "chamber" 100g sump in the basement with an RDSB. All corals are 100% home grown from frags of fellow reefers (low natural reef impact).

It cannot get any simpler than mine. I set it up this way temporarily just to get things going, planning to make it more "proper" later. That was 3 years ago. LOL!!!

I plumbed in a t-fitting to the cold water line and attached a garden hose faucet to serve as the source. Put a plank of wood atop the Brute and set the RODI unit on top of that, then drilled a small hole in the top cover for the RODI output. Plumbed in two bulkheads to the Brute, one low with a gate valve, and one high up close to the top. The high bulkhead is connected to a hose the delivers the run-off to a drain if I happen to forget to shut it off and the tank starts to overfill. The lower one with a gate valve delivers water to a 22 gallon mixing bin with a pump for mixing. Once well mixed and aerated, the pump in the mixing bin then switches around to pump new saltwater to the sump for water changes. It has worked so well, I had no urge to improve on it.
