sugestions and tips needed
Main problems: Nepthia tree seems to be always stressed out and it has been this way for a month or two. I have moved it and what not
The sea anemone always moves around, it will latch onto a rock for a week or two and then do weird stuff all over the tank. I run my full lighting on the display tank for 7 hours and blue lights for 5 hours after that, i get brown algae all over the sand from it, should i cut back even more on the lighting? I do ~15% water change per week, and add calcium every day, strontium and magnesium every 5 days, and Iodine once a week. The sand bed in the display tank is about 3 inches deep, and i have a 2.5 inch sand bed in the sump. Sump: 10 gallon tank with 3 compartments. Has the green hair algae and some of that red sea weed, but that mostly died off since i got it about 3 weeks ago. Black Mangrove plants are a new addition to the sump. Sump lighting is on from 12-15 hours per day but it isnt as strong as the display lights, no algae problems in the sump. Display tank drainage runs through a filter sock with charcoal. 150gph power head circulation plus the rio return pump Display tank: 20 gallon, running two power heads. Rear power head is 750gph front power head is 250gph. Live stock in display is 1 damsel, 2 clowns, and brittle star. Salinity: 25-26 ppt Ph:~8.08-8.12 Alkalinity ~300 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate: 20 ppm(mg/L) ill try to get pics on here asap |
