Clowns for mad......
We have had a pair of Darwins since feb and they have been no issues, lately we added a Strawberry Pseudochromis which I am so sorry I did (just another reason not to take the word from my LFS as she stated they were not aggressive at all lol) Our clowns have become very aggressive and just destroyed one of our Fire shrimp, literally ripped it in half. Is this due to our new resident or is this a common tendency in clowns?

This is very common when clowns sexually mature and form a bonded pair; especially if they are in the tank before the newcomers. This is a territory, rather than just an aggression behavior; IMO & IME. You can often put the clowns in your QT for a week or so and return them. If there'e room, they will settle for less space. Doesn't always work, though; especially with large clowns.
