too early for Macro algae?

Can it be too early to add any? I am about to order a CUC, and thought about ordering some chaeto too. My tank is finished cycling and this CUC will be the first occupants in the tank. The chaeto will go in my sump. I don't plan to have any fish in the system for at least a month (maybe more). Should I wait to hold off on the macro algae until it is needed?

I would say you're fine putting chaeto in now.

Agreed, now is good. Don't be surprised if the cheato has various micro hitchhikers that will help populate your tank.
