My purposed is to get a head start of getting my dead rocks to become alive During curing process.
Is it a good idea to add my dry rocks to my live rocks while its being cured? |

The reason for dry rock to to avoid the pests that come with live rock.. By placing your dry and live in the same container/tank to cycle them you are giving the pests more places to set up a home.

The reason for dry rock is also to save money. In your tank or in a bucket it takes about 8 weeks for the bacteria to work its way from live rock to the dry rock interior.
