Question Removing the mirrored back on my tank?

So my 26 bow front tank has a mirrored back, which I loved at first but have grown to hate it . Not to mention my fish aren't the biggest fans of it there's has been more then once that my royal gramma has tried to fight his own reflection. I'm moving in a month or two, so I figured while I was at it I would try to remove the mirror and paint it black. Has anyone done this?

I'm not even sure if its possible but I figured I'd find out if anyone has done this

I could do that. Besides I'm moving so the tank would be drained

If you don't mind, could you outline why you hate it?
