Feeding and water quality

How do you give your fish fresh food (ie clam, shrimp) without hurting water quality? Do you just keep an eye on it or not feed it often?

Or should it not effect the quality of the water?

With my tank I have about 80 gallons of water volume, and feed a frozen mysis cube twice a day, and it doesnt swing my parameters if I test a few hours later. I take the cube in a cup with a inch of tap water, microwave it for 30 seconds, and then pour the whole thing in my tank

your asking about shrimp from the supermarket?
I give my tank very small chopped up pieces of shrimp once a week.
It was a trial and error to begin with. How much to give vs how much they actually eat.
I would just give a small couple pieces and see if they eat it all.. if not.. try and scoop out remains.
