White growth on damsel

Just noticed that my damsel has developed a small white growth on its back. Unable to give parameters as I haven't tested in months. I can tell you that I haven't added anything to the tank in at least 6 months. As you can see from the picture, I'm long overdue for some maintenance.

It's not a spot, it's more like a small mass. Any idea what it is?
