found some rock, What next??
I found some aquarium rock in a tote that is about 10years old, my guess i used it for a fresh water aquarium. I would like to use it for my saltwater aquarium. it is very nice and porous. How would i go about making this live rock and possibly getting coralline algae on it, I'm in no rush and would like to take advantage of this new find, Please help out, money is kinda not an issue so if i needed to build a special tub or tank that would be ok, Any suggestions?

Yeah, I think some pics will be needed. Unless you know exactly what kind of rock this is. You don't want to add in any rock that will eventually leach bad stuff into your tank.

if money is not an Issue, Id get Fresh live rock.
if it is, Id try to find what kind of rocks they are. what they are made out of. you do not want silica in reef tank for example, or many other elements. |

Well I'm not a geologist so I think I'm going to play it safe and just toss it. Probably better and cheap to just but dead rock online. Thanks for the help guys.

The money to buy special tub or tank can be use to buy new rocks that are much better in the picture. The pictured rock are likely be use as bases (only for foundation)
