RO DI Systems

With so many options and systems available, and with Income Tax just around the corner, I was wondering if you all had any recomendations, things to avoid, things to get etc... I too am getting tired of hauling my buckets...

The opinion here at RC seems to be that Spectrapure is the best. BRS is also well rated. I just ordered a 90 GPD Spectrapure RO/DI myself. I'm expecting to arrive today...

I have a 75gpd 4 stage BRS. I love it, but I think I would have gone to the 5 stage if i could do it again.

5 stage brs for me and it works great. Spend the extra cash on another membrane to double the speed and production. That's on my list next.

I would also include a auto shut off float valve from BRS they are really neat. I use a Brute trash can as my water reservoir and i just drilled a hole in the side and put the float valve there. No longer have to worry about forgetting to shut off the water and flooding my house (i did it 3 times before i ordered the float switch).

Agree with BRS 5 stage, love mine. Increased my production 3 fold with addition of booster pump.

Spectrapure, why do they have so many rebuilts for sale????

yes, please for your livestocks sake...get some good water. Truly only thing I can say, without a doubt, that drastically helped with my tanks.

wow, haha, yeah you should test the water of those places and post your results! I am curious to know what they are.

On a side note...set that bad boy (RO unit) up!

My tap is water has 430 TDS and after it passes through my Spectrapure 5 stage, 0 TDS. Hands down the Spectrapure system has been the best investment for my reef tank!
