Paint for back of tank
Does it matter what kind of paint you use to paint the glass; or will pretty much anything work?
Is there a better alternative to painting? Like a sheet of black plastic or something? Would that allow salt creep though... Sent by Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Tapatalk 2

The oil based enamel paint works great and is very durable. Lots of people like the krypton fusion spray paint.

Splashing or other items where it would get wet... Plus it is kinda humid around that area.
Look at the paper/sheets that you put on the back? I have heard of some people putting window tinting on it too. It is made to handle any thing that gets it wet.

I used the Krylon Fusion in black. It takes three or four light coats for even coverage. Dry between coats.

i personally use vinyal on all of my tank. street grade vinyal works best if you can find it, but regular vinyal works fine. it can be peeled off at a later date if you wanted to take it off but it wont come off unless you want it too. just make sure you install it corectly.

I was going to put my tank into a wall inlay with no access to the back once I get it in there so I guess I should paint it with quality paint and make the dreaded decision - blue or black - and like my decision lol.

It's a 210gal tank so it's no easy task to ever change my color :-)
