Hi, i need to seal the bottom panel of a 72g bowfront, is this silicone aquarium safe, or i need to buy a aquarium specific silicone?
Thanks http://www.dap.com/product_details.a...59&SubcatID=25 |

No, that should not be used. You want to stay away from anything that is "mildew resistant." There's a few threads on here that list a couple of aquarium safe silicone's (make, part #), I'll see if I can some.

GE Silicone I also works fine. I say this from experience. You can get it just about anywhere too (walmart, HD, Lowes, etc). Make sure you get the one labeled I (as in 1). I think it's a grey or silver label and it says "windows and doors" on it. It plain 100% silicone sealant without any additives to kill mildew, etc.
