wtb or rent an aqua medic fish trap

i've tried the DIY fish traps with an acrylic bottle but i keep catching the wrong fish. i'm ready to order the aqua medic fish trap but i thought i'd check to see if anyone local to orlando is interested in selling or renting theirs.

Have you tried an algae magnet and clear fish bag....?

Blow a power head into the bag to keep it open...Feed a cube, frozen or other solid into the bag and when the right fish enters...spook em and grab the bag...problem solved.

I have been able to catch just about any fish except for my regal because she is so shy.

Tks for replying! I haven't but I believe it will have a similar result as the DIY trap I created with a plastic bottle. There have been two outcomes. Either the wrong fish are getting trapped, or one fearless blood shrimp I have goes in nearly every time. He doesn't care about getting trapped either since he gets all the food and I keep letting him out

The aqua medic fish trap appears to be a good solution because I control the trap door.

I'm not sure if it is an aquamedic, but I have a fish trap with the droppable door in the same style. I'll have to go find it in the garage as I haven't used it in ages, but you are welcome to borrow it. I'd be fine with you leaving a deposit that I'd give you back in full when you return the trap. Don't need a rental fee, just something to make you bring the trap back.

Found it. I think $50 (fully refunded when you return the trap) is a fair deposit (same as cost of new one).

I'm busy tonight, but available most evenings. I'm near Top Shelf Aquatics, in between Winter Park and Oviedo.

I just left the bag in my tank until the fish got used to it...Even if it took several days of feed...Eventually the right one will enter
