Green carpet anemone question!!!

Ok, so just so all mods know, this is not I repeat not, a for sale post...

Ok, with that out of the way, I have a neon green carpet anemone that is anywhere between 10 and 12 inches across that I am trying to figure out what a fair asking price is. I am not selling here, rather on fragtraders, and want to get my moneys worth but not jim other people, he is a very healthy, good eater, great host, has never ate anything other than the frozen shrimp I feed. He is not agressive to the corals that reside close to him. I set up the tank when I got him and did not expect him to be so large, so some times he touches other corals, but dosent bother them. So what I'm asking is, what would be a fair price for him. I believe that he is a s. haodinnii (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) beautiful share of green, I just want other corals he has been a kind host to a pair of domino damsels at the same time as being a host to my pair of true percs. And allows my other damsel to play in him sometimes. So again my question, what's a fair price?

Really depends on the shade of green, but any where from about $40.00 to $150-200

I can't upload pics, I'm on my iPad, and I do not have a computer at the moment. Any ideas how to post pics?

Here is a link to photobucket. It's much, much, much brighter in real life.. My iPad sucks for pics. Plus this is a mid- day shot. No actnics, just daylights.. I have my tank like this for three hours a day, then the rest has different amounts of actnic lighting, so here ya go, just imagine it much prettier lol

No link, but Daniel has it spot on with pricing. Petco in my area gets brownish green ones in from time to time, and they charge $35. The brighter the green, the more money you can get. You can also ask a higher price since it's healthy and acclimated to your tank.

To be honest, it isn't the best green that I have seen.

How long have you had it?
Are you going to ship it?
Have you ever shipped anything before?
(( the reason I ask is because they aren't the best shippers )).

The fact that yours hasn't eaten any fish is just luck, it will happen.

For the color, and local pick up, I would pay around $50.

A better green, could fetch 2-3 times as much.

I am going to move him tonight to a separate tank, to awaite his hopeful new owner, I will ship, yes, I have done this before. I am aware of their in ease of shipping. I have him closed up right now so I can get him out so I will show u a 20000k picture tomorrow when he is in the frag/sell tank. The pics that I have are of him under strong, white daylights so he dose not look too vibe rent. Better pics to come tomorrow.

I agree with Todd. Looks like the ones they sell at Petco. Not that it matters though, since a healthy haddoni is still worth money. :-)

Here's the image, BTW:

The guy who is selling bright neon green haddoni (looks like the pics above) wants $150 for a 12". Vividaquariums sells them for ~$99.

I'd say 35 to 50. My LFS has one with stripes and more green right now for $35. It is an unusual low price though.

Can you re post my picture again lol .. This is not my frag/sale system, he Is sitting in my neighbors, but I monitor him closely, as he lives say.. About 500 feet away. Lol any way. He is a little ****ed still, and not fully opened, he has some grape calpura? Poking him and a just plain isnt happy from being moved . So he is about8 inches at the moment, he has magnificent blue/white lines that are viable when he is extended fully under actnics. I love this guy, I just want some other corals.. I need Xenia for my nano cube, and anything else tht I fall for that Is sps/LPS/softie lol it's an addiction

Cant believe that is the same anemone. With that color you are looking on the higher end of pricing.

If it's truly neon green like the photo, I'd say $100+ easy.

To post photos, just copy the IMG code link next to the photo and paste it into your post. Like this:

In terms of selling, I would start with your local club forum. For example, mine is here:

http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/fo...play.php?f=392

I'm sure someone will snatch it up, and you won't have to ship it.

I'd say $100-$200 depending on size.

The only thing that shows up in my local area forum is a group buy thread.. I'd rather have someone pick him up, because I don't want him to suffer, if nothing else happens and nobody around me wants him, I'll probably end up keeping him and setting up another tank d having him be my showpiece. Idk I just need to find someone who wants him. Even on frag traders, I will ship, but would rather have someone pick him up.so do you have any idea why there is only one thread in the grand rapids-Michigan forum?
