125g First Time SW Setup
So after owning FW fish ever since I was 13, at 25 I decided to start my first saltwater setup. Got the tank on CL for a really good price but it needed a lot of work (checkout some of the before and after pics). Some 6 months later I had re-finished the wood stand and had a plan for the tank.
I decided to run a basement sump due to the upstairs having hardwood floors and I had a "spare" room downstairs that would be perfect (in my mind anyway). It is our "pump room", an old cold room that was sitting empty. After a long weekend I had all my plumbing done and the tank was begining its cycle. As of today the tank has been up and running for 11 months. Learned a lot in the process from RC just by browsing around so I figured for my first post I would introduce myself and my tank enjoy! Type: FOWLR, 125g RR tank, 35g basement sump Equipment: Iwaki MD-40RXT, ATS, CL UV, CL 220 Protein Skimmer (looking to eliminate if ATS works well enough) Livestock: 1 - Alantic Blue Tang 1 - One Spoted Foxface 1 - Snowflake Eel 1 - Volitan Lionfish 1 - Queen Angel 1 - Black Knox Dwarf Angel 1 - Red Knob Starfish 1 - Chocolate Chip Starfish 2 - Pencil Urchins 4 - Zebra Snails |
