What's the highest Salinity for a reef aquarium?
What would be the highest salt level in a reef aquarium before you start seeing negative results from corals?
It seems to me that anything over 1.026 and upward corals really start having a rough time. I get alot of evaporation and my salinity really starts to creep up. |

An ATO will help with the salinity swing.

I run mine around 1.026 and have heard of some running at 1.030 as well. Corals have a harder time if salinity is raised by more than 0.001 in a day. It is easier on corals to have salinity lowered than to have it raised but even then they do not want to have it lowered too much either. If your corals are doing ok I would not be concerned especially since 1.026 is the level of NSW.
