AI SOL or AI Vega
I will be setting up a 180 in a couple weeks and can't decide between the SOL and the Vega. Any suggestions from owners or someone with first hand knowledge/experice thoughts/opinions would be great.

I use three vegas and have seen the sols in action. IMO the vegas hands down. The color rendition of the vegas makes the difference. Corals may only need blue spectrum to grow but the human eye needs other spectrums for color perception.

If you are good with sodering I would do a diy fixture. A "place where you buy leds in groups" has good heatsinks that help your project look professional. I have everything I need to build a fixture with the equivalent amount of two vegas for the price of one sol. Fully contollable with my reefkeeper too.
All going in my new 50g rimless cube build |

I have both. I use 5 sols over my 6 foot 180 gallon and 1 vega over my 50 gal cube. I like the sols a lot. The vegas are cool, but i wouldnt switch my sols for vegas. I dont really care to configure the colors on the vegas. I think I have the reds off and the greens barely on.

I have the Sol Blue I love it but I am wishing I had waited and saved the money to buy Sol Vega since it has beautiful color from what ive seen.
