painting tank, what roller cover to use
So i am setting up my new 220 and i couldn't just walk it outside and spray it so i decided to use the remaining paint from when we painted the basement walls. I started laying down the first coat and man this stuff is going to take a ton of coats.
Is there a certain roller cover that will cover the glass better than a plain old cover from wally world? |

3/8s or a foam roller. should take a couple coats. Get roller well saturated, wipe off excess and do full strokes- do not overwork paint. You want a thin continuous film-first coat will look spotty, second and perhaps third will fill in.

I bought small, dense foam rollers to paint our new tank. Typically roller covers will say on the package what they're best designed for; if you want smooth, streak-free, even coverage a foam roller will work much better than the fuzzy kind usually used on walls.
