Metal halide which fixture
I'm looking for a 24" 250w metal halide fixture preferably with t5s. What are some names I should look into while shopping?

High quality - Geissmann or Sfigioli
Medium - Hamilton , SLS Maristar if you can find one (stopped production) Lower - Current, Coralife (PC not T5) These are the first that come to my mind; others can probably add more to the list |

I would stay away from the Odyssea/Coralife type designs. The reflectors in those fixtures are subpar at best. You want something with a lumenmax or lumenarc style reflector design. It will get you more PAR in more places while reducing heating of the tank.
