In Sump Skimmer

Is all plastic ok to use in saltwater? I want to used a large rubbermaid container in my sump to set me skimmer on to get the skimmer at the right height. Is that kind of plastic safe?

Probably yes just look to see if its food grade. I built a stand for my skimmer out of PVC 1/2" pipe Just another suggestion...

use PVC.

or check the triangle thing on the plastic with the number inside it, let us know the number. or look it up on google.


most of the times, white plastic is food grade, so if its white then ...
