gorgonian

can i mix a gorgonian with a galaxia? Current inhabitants are mushrooms, pipe organ, green monti, zoos, plate, purple haze.

Sure, just make sure it's far from the galaxea, the sweepers on those can be 6 inches easily.

Just pay attention as I think some gorgonians are photosynthetic and some aren't (not 100% sure on that point). And some like the water more nutrient rich. In the Keys a lot of them grow up near shore where other corals are uncommon because the water isn't as clean as out 3-5 mile on the reefs. And some shed a layer of 'skin' every month or two. They grow in a more nutrient rich area and algae becomes an issue, so they shed in order to get rid of any algae build up. But that is only with some gorgonians, not all.

Correct, some are non-photosynthetic such as the yellow gorgonian. And everything else you said is true too.

If yours is an azoox coral you must feed it a mix of filter feeding foods daily such as rotifers.
Post a pic in the non photosynthetic forum, you could get a proper ID
