Best hob skimmers

What are some of the best 90 gallon skimmers. I am going to upgrade eventually and would like to work in some purchases toward the upgrade. I already have 6x54 t5hos. Going to add some leds. I don't really wanna do a sump. I like the idea of a skimmer as main filtration. I can put fuge suff in the tank. All i would do with a sump is put a skimmer and fuge and heater which can all go in the tank and hob.

I have the reef octopus BH90 and it's an awesome skimmer but it is prob too small for a 90 as I think it's rated for a 90-120 gal tank. Reef octopus has a full line of HOB skimmers that you can't go wrong with. I personally would go with a cone version regardless of what brand you choose.

Just ordered the Reef Octopus BH-90 for my 75g SPS reef. Used to have the 800s, but the pump is on its way out and they don't make them anymore.

^^ you won't be disappointed in it. It's a quality skimmer and works great. I have it on my overstocked mixed 45 and it's constantly pulling crap.. On a 75 it might be workin a little to keep up if it's not overly stocked. I carbon dose though so the skim is heavy.

Mine broke in really fast also.

^^ Only one fish (percula) in the tank right now. Will eventually get a few more, but am mostly interested in SPS and inverts for this set-up.

Nice .. I love this thing for a HOb it is a great skimmer. It's getting retired to the frag tank next weekend as my upgrade is almost complete. Gotta find a way to get it to work in the sump.... Lol..
