Polyurethane

Are all polyurethanes created equal? Does one brand stand above the rest??

Major name brands will give you no problem,,,,

Building a stand and want to seal it after I stain it.

I have always used Minwax, it has been reliable for years.

i used an entire can of minwax... applied first coat then let it dry for two hours before second coat. it turned out fine.

no sanding between coats. i will be buffing/polishing tonight with a microfiber cloth... then possibly sanding with super fine grit if i find any noticeable over spray.
