Talking New to saltwater not to fish, salt is beautiful

Here is my 29g bio cube with one of my clowns hosting Atlantic purple tip pied anemone which is said to be uncommon, both my orange and my maroon true clowns started what seems to be hosting it tonight when I started setting up my 90g percula reef tank.

It's a perc, why separate them? They seem to be getting along

yea they will till your maroon gets a little bigger it will kill any other clown in the tank (unless it pairs up, but it will not pair up with a perc) then its mate will be ok. They are MEAN!!!! clowns!

I don't think it's a maroon clown as such. It is a darker coloured Ocellaris by the looks of it. Wait and see. You may be OK. I have 5 Clowns that get along. 2 are huge.

^+1 I didn't even look at the second picture it doesnt look like a maroon to me much to dark and his bars aren't straight like a maroon. And I have clowns that get along like percs and ocellaris but never seen a maroon get along with another type of clown. Anyone else seen this happen?

IME Maroons are just haters! I had one I called Chairman Mao. He would draw blood every time I stuck my hand in the tank.

She! I had a black and white Perc pair and the female was by far the nastiest fish I have ever owned but only to me. She was fine with all the other fish but would bite me untill I bled every time I had to put my hand in the tank.

....so it isn't the fact that it was a Maroon. It is a female issue!
