Lighting
I have a newly set up nano tank and am after some advice on length of running lights all I have in the tank at the moment is 2 turbo snails and 2 peppermint shrimps(3 days old) what would you all recommend I only have normal lights blue and white ones that come with it

If you do not have corals match the lighting to your viewing hours. With corals most of us run the daylight bulbs 7-8 hours with the blue running 10-12 hours (start 2 hours before the daylight and turn off 2 hours afterwards.

i agree. if there are no corals in tank then lights should be used for ur viewing pleasure making sure not to go longer than 8-10 hrs per day as lobger light hours will help produce algae.

Ok thanks!! And what about when I have corals?? And while I'm at it when is a good time to add corals and what type is best to start with?
